Privacy policy

The short version: Brain Tickler does not collect any data. No account, no analytics, no ads, no tracking. Your tickles and settings stay on your iPhone, and the app never connects to the internet.

What the app stores, and where

Brain Tickler keeps two kinds of information, both only on your device, in the app’s own private storage:

Your tickles: the text you type, their tier (Super, Soon or Soft), start time, repeat schedule, poke frequency, and whether each one is done, skipped or snoozed.
Your settings: the name you choose for the greeting (optional), quiet hours, snooze length, and whether pokes are on.

iCloud sync is turned off in the app. This information is never sent to us or to anyone else, and we have no way to see it.

Like all app data on an iPhone, it can be included in backups that you make (iCloud Backup or a computer backup). Those backups are handled by Apple or your computer under your control, not by us.

Notifications

Reminders (“pokes”) are scheduled by your iPhone itself using local notifications. There is no push server, and the app doesn’t create or send any device token. You can turn notifications off at any time in the app or in iOS Settings.

What we don’t do

No accounts or sign-in.
No analytics, crash-reporting or advertising SDKs, and no other third-party code that collects data.
No ads and no tracking across apps or websites.
No network connections: the app works fully offline and doesn’t talk to any server, including ours.
No location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera access.

Payment

Brain Tickler is a one-time purchase on the App Store. Apple handles the payment. We never receive your name, Apple ID, card or billing details. Apple’s handling of your purchase is covered by Apple’s privacy policy.

Information Apple may share with developers

If you’ve chosen to share analytics with app developers in iOS (Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements), Apple may give us anonymous, aggregated crash reports and usage statistics. This is controlled by you and by Apple. It doesn’t include your tickles, and we can’t use it to identify you.

Deleting your data

Delete any tickle inside the app, or delete the app to remove all of its data from your iPhone. Since we hold no copy, there is nothing for us to delete or hand over.

Children

Brain Tickler is a general-audience productivity app and is not directed at children under 13. It doesn’t collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the effective date above. If a future version of the app ever needs to collect any data, this policy and the App Store privacy label will be updated before that version is released.
